রাজধানীর গ্রিন ইউনিভার্সিটি অব বাংলাদেশে ‘অনলাইন লার্নিং: দ্যা কনসেপ্ট ডেলিভারি অ্যান্ড অ্যাসেসমেন্ট অল্টারনেটিভ’ শীর্ষক এক অনলাইন সেমিনার উপস্থিত বক্তারা এসব কথা বলেন। আজ সোমবার (১৮ মে, ২০২০) বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের ল্যাঙ্গুয়েজ সেন্টার এই সেমিনারের আয়োজন করে। এতে বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের উপাচার্য অধ্যাপক ড. মো. গোলাম সামদানী ফকির প্রধান অতিথি ও উপ-উপাচার্য অধ্যাপক ড. মো. আব্দুর রাজ্জাক বিশেষ অতিথি হিসেবে উপস্থিত ছিলেন। মূল প্রবন্ধ উপস্থাপন করেন ওমানের ইউনিভার্সিটি অব বুরাইমি’র সহযোগী অধ্যাপক ও ইউওবি ই-লার্নিংয়ের চেয়ারম্যান এ এস এম শামীম মিয়া। গ্রিন ইউনিভার্সিটি সেন্টারের পরিচালক সিরাজুম মুনীরা এই সভা পরিচালনা করেন।
সেমিনারে উপাচার্য অধ্যাপক ড. মো. গোলাম সামদানী ফকির বলেন, শিক্ষা ছাড়া জাতি তো বটেই, কোনো ব্যক্তিও চলতে পারে না। তাই শিক্ষা চালিয়ে নিতে হবে। তিনি বলেন, সরকার অনলাইনের মাধ্যমে বিভিন্নভাবে শিক্ষা দেয়ার চেষ্টা করছে, এই ধারা অব্যাহত রাখতে বেসরকারিভাবেও সবাইকে এগিয়ে আসতে হবে।
উপ-উপাচার্য অধ্যাপক ড. মো. আব্দুর রাজ্জাক বলেন, শিক্ষার দ্বার কীভাবে খোলা যায়, সেই ক্ষেত্রে এই সেমিনার অত্যন্ত তাৎপর্যপূর্ণ। তিনি বলেন, বাংলাদেশে সবচেয়ে উদ্বৃত্ত জিনিস হলো জনসংখ্যা। সেই জনসংখ্যাকে একমাত্র শিক্ষার মাধ্যমেই জনশক্তিকে রূপান্তরিত কর যায়। তাই শিক্ষা থেমে থাকলে চলবে না।
মূল প্রবন্ধকার এ এস এম শামীম মিয়া বলেন, অনলাইনে শিক্ষার মাধ্যম মোট চারটি। এগুলো হলো- অডিও, ভিডিও, টেক্সট ও ইমেজ। এর বাইরে অনলাইন শিক্ষার কোনো মাধ্যম নেই। তিনি বলেন, বিশ্বব্যাপী যত অনলাইন কোর্স প্ল্যাটফর্ম রয়েছে, এর অধিকাংশই কমার্শিয়াল। প্রকৃতপক্ষে তারা ক্লায়েন্ট বাড়ানোর চেষ্টা করছে, প্রকৃত শিক্ষা দিচ্ছে না। এ সময় তিনি অনলাইন শিক্ষার প্রকৃত মাধ্যম ও উপায়, ক্লাস, পরীক্ষা, মূল্যায়ন ও সিকিউরিটিসহ নানাদিক নিয়ে আলোচনা করেন। সেমিনারে বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের বিভিন্ন অনুষদের ডিন, বিভাগীয় চেয়ারপার্সন ও শিক্ষক-কর্মকর্তারা অংশ নেন।
